When unfortunate things happen to us, there’s this urge to ask someone whether we’re making the right choice. No answer seems to come, which feels awfully frustrating at the time. But later, when we look back on all the challenges we’ve come through, I think we reach an amazing realization. God gave us the answer, He helped us find the answer! He was watching over us the whole time, waiting to see how we would overcome.
안 좋은 일이 닥칠 때
누군가에게 물어보고 싶을 때가 있어요.
내가 하는 선택이 맞는 건지...
답을 받을 수가 없다는 게 그땐 답답하고 기분이 안 좋게만 느껴져요.
지나고 나서 그 때의 힘든 굴곡을 바라보면
‘아~!’ 하고 깨닫게 되지요.
답을 주었구나.
내가 답을 찾을 수 있게 했구나!
나를 지켜보고 있고, 내가 어떻게 극복해내고 있는지
기다리고 있었구나를 알게 되는 것 같아요.
Artist Story:
ISoo Jeon is a painter and writer who began his journey with his first children's book at the age of eight, publishing a total of 18 books. He aims to share his words and illustrations with more people, exerting a positive influence on society through his artistic endeavors, and he continues to engage with the community through his writing and art. He also places significant importance on his role as an environmental activist. In 2019, he opened a gallery called "Walking Wolves" in Jeju, dedicating efforts to help the Jeju Single Mothers Center and friends in Africa, striving to uphold valuable causes. This gallery hosts annual exhibitions on different themes, establishing itself as an important medium for making the world a little warmer.
ISoo Jeon presents captivating artworks with a unique sensibility and delicate touch, earning the affection of many. Visitors to his small gallery experience solace and inspiration. The artist's writings and illustrations provoke deep contemplation about the value of life, prompting reflections on significant moments, and resonate profoundly with viewers.
