I think of our house as a wonderful tiny box holding the most precious things. Our house transforms into several things. It sometimes turns into an amusement park, and sometimes into a dormitory. A workshop, a café, an open field . . . It can turn into anything you can think of.
It’s the most precious place in the world, the place I like the most, the place I go when I’m really struggling, the place I can rely on.
It’s the place where my most precious people live, the place I can rest to my heart’s content when I’m having a hard time. It’s the place where I can talk without any worries or secrets, the place we can laugh together and cry together. That’s why I love our house.
우리 집은 가장 소중한 것이 들어있는
자그마한 멋진 상자라고 생각한다.
우리집은 여러 가지로 변신한다.
어떤 때는 놀이동산으로도 바뀌고
어떤 때는 기숙사로도 바뀐다.
공방, 카페, 넓은 들판...
생각하면 뭐든지 될 수 있다.
세상에서 가장 소중한 곳,
가장 좋아하고 정말로 힘들 때 찾게 되는 곳,
의지할 수 있는 곳.
그곳은 나의 가장 소중한 존재들이 살고 있고
힘들 때 마음 편하게 쉴수 있는 곳.
어떤 비밀도 걱정 없이 이야기 나누고
함께 울고 함께 웃을 수 있는 곳.
그래서 나는 우리 집을 사랑한다.
Artist Story:
ISoo Jeon is a painter and writer who began his journey with his first children's book at the age of eight, publishing a total of 18 books. He aims to share his words and illustrations with more people, exerting a positive influence on society through his artistic endeavors, and he continues to engage with the community through his writing and art. He also places significant importance on his role as an environmental activist. In 2019, he opened a gallery called "Walking Wolves" in Jeju, dedicating efforts to help the Jeju Single Mothers Center and friends in Africa, striving to uphold valuable causes. This gallery hosts annual exhibitions on different themes, establishing itself as an important medium for making the world a little warmer.
ISoo Jeon presents captivating artworks with a unique sensibility and delicate touch, earning the affection of many. Visitors to his small gallery experience solace and inspiration. The artist's writings and illustrations provoke deep contemplation about the value of life, prompting reflections on significant moments, and resonate profoundly with viewers.
