Sukyung Chung

Sukyung Chung is a Korean glass artist who focuses on exploring the artistic expressions inherent in the properties of glass. She studied glass design at Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts and completed her master's and doctoral degrees at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in the United Kingdom and the Department of Industrial Design at Kyung Hee University, respectively. She has held solo exhibitions at prestigious venues such as Marchh Gallery Hannam and Monoha Hannam, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and fairs in Korea, the UK, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Her works predominantly employ the casting technique, where colored glass blocks are fused together using heat, resulting in a diverse range of pieces inspired by the abstract nature of architecture and geometrical structures.
