ABOUT

PARK, Songkuk got his inspirations of this "Hanji Series" when he visit ed museums while traveling Korea.This made him to study ceramic at Hongik University in Korea.

“Hanji Series” embodies the characters of Hanji. (Hanji is traditional Korean paper found in Korean history.)

His works pursues "natural lines" and shapes that reminisces the beautiful, luxurious texture of hanji, so the artist focus on making the thin, curved features using soil.

The artist participated in a number of competitions, such as Kyungky International Ceramics Biennale, Icheon

Ceramic Trend Competition, and won prizes. His work shows an artistic perspective as an object and a craftsman ship as a product.
