Juhyun Kim identifies fleeting moments in everyday life and depicts it on her canvas. The patterns are eventually associated with their meanings, not as the result but as the process toward it. The artist seizes, records, and contemplates the moment while she draws the dots on the canvas.
Kim says, "We are not free from doing the same things every day. Therefore, ‘repeating’ is the way I look at my life. I am inspired by endless waves moving back and forth, by fields of reeds stumbling by the wind, and by the way the woods change their colors and smells according to the weather. My work describes the beauty of moments that we can contemplate."
